Organising summary

The process of organising is to prepare or format the data so that they can be reused by other proceses. Organising consists of 2 forms. They are document preparartion and data preparartion . It is the process of arranging, representing and formatting data for use by other information processes. It is to prepare or format data so that they can use by others. The software for organising are text editors, word processor, HTML & WEB editors, desktop publisher. Also ,the non-computing tools for organising are phonebook, card index system, images. The relation between organising and social issue is redundant data which means there is more than one copy of the same data in a data base and result in chaos .

A short summary of collecting!

Collecting is one of the 7 information processes .It is a process that involves both information technology and decisions .Also, it is a connection between information system and the reality. It uses different kind of hardware to physically gather all data in this world. The reason of people collecting data is to analysis then to translate it to a monitor .Therefore, it can be displayed as useful information to let people to read or use. The decisions that involve in collecting are 1.What to collect it? 2. How to collect it? 3. Where to collect it? Through different types of hardware and software, people can collect data from the world. The Hardware for collecting is keyboard, voice recognition, document scanner and bar code readers. And the software for collecting, such as keystroke, a web data entry form, spreadsheet, web browser, sound recorder. For the non computing tools of collecting is handwriting on paper, data entry form layout, interviews, surveys. However, the process of collecting would bring up some issues. Socially, privacy, acknowledging the data source, data accuracy and the ergonomics of collecting data.

It will be use it for the planning of the project and it can be the guide of the whole project . To assist us and to remind us when and how the project should be finished .It can outline the different task by different member .

What a storyboard is ?

A storyboard is a visual plan on a paper . It is also a plan of a video ,movie or information project , it shows the story as a sequence of scence .

Bits ,Bytes , pixels and compression ?

A bit is the smallest unit of data .It is a single binary digit ,a 0 or a 1.
A byte is the smallest useful unit of data .It consisrs of 8 individual bits .
A pixel is the smallest controllable display element on a VDU .
Compression reduces the a quantity of data in an image when it is stored as a file .

My favourite information system is msn messenger . It is a software that people can communitcate through the internet without any restricton .It is also one of the most popular software currently in the world .

The 5 data types!

Data are divided into 5 types . They are text data , numerical data , image data , audio data and video data .
Text represents the individual symbols used in many written languages .It is a sequence of symbols used in a natural or artificial language .
Numerical data represents pure numbers , such as measurement and calculation .
Image data are the most used of data .Everything that display in the screen must be converted to image data before displaying .
Audio data are a sequence of sound measurments and it measures the sound ,volume and pitch.
Video data are a sequence of still images recorded many times a second .

Electronic waste, "e-waste" or "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE") is a waste type consisting of any broken or unwanted electrical or electronic appliance. Recyclable electronic waste is sometimes further categorized as a "commodity" while e-waste which cannot be reused is distinguished as "waste". It is one of the biggest issue that are concerning in the world . Due to its pollution to the reality .

Why do we need information technology to make systems work?

Information technology is the equipment (hardware) used by an informaton system and the instruction (software) that the control the equipment . It can help to assist the information to operate . Therefore information technology is necessary to an information system

Personal Vs Group systems

The number of participants can determine the type of information system . A personal information system normally has only one participant . It is usually under the full control of its user . A group information system shares data /information with many participants

Am I a participant or end user?

A psrticipant is anyone who is involved in the operation or running of an information system .
An end user recevies the data/information produced by an information system .
For example ,a school diary . I am both participant and end user due to i will add and check information in it .

Why and how the environment impacts on information system?

The environment is where an information system is used . It includes any other system that supply data (inputs) and accept data/ information (outputs)from the sytem . Information system do not exist by themselves .They are part of environment .

System , A system is a collection of parts that work together to achieve a particular purpose or reusult . It can be used to describe anything . For example , a human body is a system ,it is consist of the nervous system , the digestive system ,the circulatory system and many others system .
